Dr. Eric Bantz is Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma,& Immunology.  Dr. Bantz is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY and received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  He completed his internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in Pediatrics.  He completed his Allergy Fellowship training in Denver at the Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center and eventually retired as a Colonel  in 1992 after receiving multiple awards and commendations. 

Dr. Bantz began his allergy practice in 1993 as the founding partner of Cornerstone Asthma & Allergy Associates.  He has considered it both a joy and a privilege to evaluate, treat, and minister to the needs of his patients of all ages.  Dr. Bantz has written and published articles in both allergy and pediatric journals. He has frequently been recognized as a “Top Doc” in South Jersey.  Dr. Bantz and his wife Sookie have two daughters.  In his free time, Dr. Bantz enjoys sports and volunteering for overseas medical mission trips where he also feels privileged to minister to the needs of patients.

Dr. John Kim is board certified by both the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Born and raised in southern California, Dr. Kim graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). As a recipient of the U.S. Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program he received his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School and completed his residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.


Dr. Kim served as an Army physician for seven years and went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric and Adult Allergy and Immunology in New York at Cohen’s Children Medical Center at North Shore-Long Island Jewish. He is an active member of the American College of Asthma, Allergy & Immunology and the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Kim is the recipient of multiple awards for excellence in medicine in both military as well as civilian roles, and was recently nominated as a “Top Doc” in South Jersey.  He believes very strongly in providing every patient with both comprehensive medical treatment as well as personable and individualized care. Outside of work, Dr. Kim enjoys making memories with his wife, Jessica and their three children, Stella, Charlie, and Henry.  He also spends time serving in the church, fixing things around the house, and exploring restaurants in the area.

Dr. Maaz Jalil is a board certified Pediatric and Adult Allergist and Immunologist. He was born, raised, and educated in New Jersey, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University with a major in Cell Biology and Neuroscience. Next, he attended medical school at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a residency in Pediatrics at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Jalil then completed a fellowship in Pediatric and Adult Allergy & Immunology at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, where he served as Chief Didactic Fellow, and published numerous papers in the field of allergy, drug allergy, immunology, COVID-19 and more. Dr. Jalil was also involved in teaching medical students, mentoring and giving lectures at both the local and national level.

Dr. Jalil treats individuals of all ages in the scope of allergy and immunology. He believes both expertise and empathy are important in providing effective care for his patients. He is a member of the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology (ACAAI) and the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI). 

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Jalil spends his time staying active in the gym, listening to live music and creating pottery and ceramics at the local art studio!

Our Nurse Practitioner, Janet Parker, joined the Cornerstone family in 2009. Ms. Parker received her nursing diploma from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and her bachelor's degree from the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore. After working for several years as a critical care nurse at the University of Maryland Hospital, NP Parker studied perfusion technology at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston.  She subsequently ran the heart-lung machine in the operating room at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ before deciding to return to nursing.  Ms. Parker received her Master of Science in Nursing from The College of New Jersey and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She also works part-time as a Certified Diabetes Educator with outpatients at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

Ms. Parker loves to travel and has participated in medical missions to Guatemala, Haiti, and Ghana. She spent one month studying Spanish in Bogota, Colombia and another month backpacking 500 miles across northern Spain.  She lives in the Waterfront South neighborhood of Camden where she is a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Her favorite leisure time activity is scrambling up walls at Go Vertical rock gym in Philadelphia.

Melanie Ransom, joined the Cornerstone family in 2021 with over 16 years of nursing experience. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Melanie graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree in 2006. In 2009, Melanie commissioned into the Army and served as an Army Nurse where she worked in various areas including critical care and inpatient pediatric oncology. While stationed in Seoul, Korea for her first duty station, she met her husband Ryan who was also an Army Nurse and lived in many different locations including Washington DC, Georgia, and Hawaii. Shortly after moving to New Jersey, Melanie received her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Rutgers University - Camden with a specialty in Family Nurse Practitioner.


Melanie loves to travel with her husband to at least one new location every year. On her days off, she enjoys exploring new places, hiking, biking, trying new restaurants, breweries, and wineries. She also has 2 dogs (Chewy and Dora) and 2 cats (Moo Moo and Raven) that keep her super busy.
